Some Birmingham City fans have been reacting negatively on social media to a recent report which states that four clubs have met Birmingham’s £30 million valuation of the player.
According to the Daily Mail, two German Bundesliga clubs, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, as well as two English Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Chelsea, have agreed to meet the Blues’ valuation of the 16-year-old midfielder.
Despite being just 16 years old, Bellingham has played a significant role for Birmingham City’s senior squad in the Championship this season. Bellingham has made a total of 32 Championship appearances this season, according to WhoScored.com. This means that only four players have made a higher number of Championship appearances for the Blues than the midfielder has so far this season.
Some Birmingham City fans have been reacting negatively to the recent reports, stating that the club should be receiving a higher transfer fee than that for the young talent. Read the negative reactions of some Blues supporters to these recent reports on Bellingham’s potential transfer away from the club in the tweets below.

“The £30 million fee is believed to be a 50% upfront payment of £15 million – growing to a total of £30 million due to performance related add-ons.”
Pathetically low.

What do we think?
Considering the important role he has already played at first-team level in the Championship at such a young age, as well as the level of interest that is reportedly being shown in him from some big European names, it may be understandable why some Blues fans may feel that they could get a higher transfer fee for the young player.
According to Transfermarkt.com, the highest transfer fee that has ever been paid for a player under 17-years-old is currently the £21.6 million transfer fee that AC Milan paid to bring Alexandre Pato to the San Siro in 2007. If Bellingham were to command a transfer fee of £30 million, his transfer fee would surpass the fee Milan paid to sign Pato. With that in mind, it may be fair to say that Birmingham wouldn’t be getting too bad of a deal out of this transfer.
