Some Birmingham City supporters have been responding to a post-match tweet sent out by Jude Bellingham following The Blues’ FA Cup loss to Leicester City.

The Blues suffered a 1-0 loss in Wednesday’s FA Cup tie with Leicester. The Championship side held on against the Premier League’s third-placed club until the 82nd minute when Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira scored the only goal of the game.

Despite keeping just 23.4% of the possession, the Blues managed to take eight shots at goal – only four fewer shots than their Premier League opponents. In addition to that, Birmingham limited Leicester to just two shots on target.

Bellingham was absent for Birmingham’s FA Cup tie with Leicester City after being “rested” for the midweek clash, according to Blues manager Pep Clotet. However, the 16-year-old sent out a post-match tweet sharing his pride in his teammates’ performance.

Some Birmingham City fans flocked to the 16-year-old’s post-match tweet to discuss the recent reports from German publication Bild, which have claimed that Borussia Dortmund will sign Bellingham for a club-record fee of just over £30 million. Read some Blues fans responses to Bellingham’s recent post in the tweets below.

Is Bellingham worth over £30 million?

YES, HE IS A GUARANTEED FUTURE STAR

What do we think?

If he were to join Dortmund, Bellingham may be aiming to follow in the footsteps of England international Jadon Sancho, who joined the German club as a 17-year-old and now leads the club in both goals and assists for the 2019/20 Bundesliga season at 19 years old.

Dortmund previously set a new club transfer record last summer when they bought centre-back Mats Hummels from their Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich for a fee of £27.5 million, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.

While Bellingham may have impressed this season by making 31 Championship appearances for The Blues at just 16 years old, it may be unlikely that Dortmund will spend what would be a reported club-record fee on such a young prospect.
