So they just forgot about rice, right?

@davidgold @karren_brady @jsullivanwhu We need to sign him permanently, this guy makes us much better. A perfectly replacement for Nobes, as he gets older.

No rice needs to concentrate on his game and let Tomas control the rest , they both look every bit captain material , let’s be bold and have them both barking the orders

Who would you rather see be appointed as West Ham captain next season?Tomas SoucekDeclan RiceMark Noble |
Soucek arrived during the January transfer window on loan from Slavia Praha, however, there is an option to purchase the 25-year-old for £13 million should they wish (per BBC).
Following the report from Claret and Hugh though, fans continued to air how divided they were over appointing the Czech Republic middleman as captain.
For those moaning saying it should be Rice: Deccers is still v young and needs to concentrate on his game. Soucek will be a formidable skipper!

Soucek is the type of player we need. Really hope we can sign him permanently ???

What do we think?
As can be seen in the responses from supporters, there is a divide between those who believe Soucek would be a great captain for the Hammers and others who would rather that it was Declan Rice.
While Soucek has only just joined the Irons, Rice boasts a superior average rating in the Premier League of 6.95/10, while the on-loan man has a 6.73/10 average (per WhoScored), which could make any decision a little clearer.
