Spurs fans have been reacting to some footage of Lucas Moura looking upset in the wake of their 3-0 defeat at RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
In a video shared by @LastWordOnSpurs on Twitter, the Brazilian forward looks devastated after the final whistle, as he was unable to repeat his heroics from last season’s win against Ajax. The former PSG man struggled to have much impact against Julian Nagelsmann’s side, earning a 6.47 rating for his performance (as per WhoScored), as the North London club crashed out of the Champions League.
So far this season, Moura has averaged a 6.89 rating in the Premier League, although in the absence of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son, he has regularly been played out of position, featuring as a striker on eight occasions. The 27-year-old’s last goal came in the 3-2 win over Southampton back in February – something which he will undoubtedly have to improve upon if Jose Mourinho’s side are to have any chance of finishing in the top-four spots.
Do you think Moura should be criticised following the Leipzig game?
Yes
No
Reaction from Spurs fans to the footage of Moura can be seen in the tweets below.
Not to be funny but he’s one of the ones who needs to take a look at himself. He’s one of the few playing in a position he’s comfortable with and he’s not performing even remotely well. Never seen a player just run into players as much as him.

Maybe if he learnt to play football and was able to control the ball better than a 6 year old girl we would have done something last night!

These Spurs fans are seemingly split between criticising Moura for his performance and supporting his efforts.
What do we think?
Although Moura producing another miracle like he did in Ajax would’ve been great for Spurs fans, Tuesday night’s game just proved too much in the end, and you could see from the footage just how much the defeat impacted the £36 million-rated man.
