Ahead of Liverpool’s UEFA Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid at Anfield, Trent Alexander-Arnold has emphasised the importance of the fixture via his social media account. The Reds trail 1-0 after they suffered defeat in the first leg courtesy of Saul Niguez’s early goal.
Despite having 73% of the possession in the Wanda Metropolitano (as per BBC Sport), Jurgen Klopp’s side only managed one more attempt at goal than the hosts who offered much defensive resistance. Here is how some of the supporters have responded to the England international defender’s post.
Is Trent Alexander-Arnold the best right-back in the world?

What do we think?
Although the Reds have the home advantage, the fact that they failed to score an away goal we believe is a concern. In our view, Atletico Madrid will likely look to defend deep, protect the lead they already have and look to score on the counter-attack. Liverpool will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Alisson but Jordan Henderson has returned to fitness although it’s unknown whether or not he is ready to play an entire 90 minutes.
