Spurs fans have flocked to a tweet from Steven Bergwijn after it was confirmed that the Dutch winger had suffered an ankle sprain.
The club confirmed that the 22-year-old would undergo rehabilitation on his ankle and the former PSV man was quick to tweet saying he would soon be back on top. Since joining the club in January, the winger has averaged a 6.96 match rating in the Premier League, having contributed two goals and zero assists, as per WhoScored.
Jose Mourinho has subsequently confirmed that the young winger could miss the rest of the season through injury, which would surely be a huge blow to the North London club’s chances of finishing in the top-four spots.
Do you think it would be better for Spurs if they weren't in Europe next season?
Yes, we can focus on the Premier League
No, we need to be playing in Europe

These Spurs fans were quick to send well-wishes to Bergwijn following his injury, with some fans urging the 22-year-old to focus on next season already.
What do we think?
It has been a tough season for Spurs regarding injuries, and if next season they can focus solely on Premier League football rather than that and the Champions League, perhaps they can have a more successful campaign.
