Spurs fans have been discussing Oliver Skipp following the FA Cup penalty defeat to Norwich on Wednesday night.
Jose Mourinho praised the midfielder’s performance in the defeat, but his post-match interview with the club showed just how upset the youngster was after the North London club were knocked out on penalties by Daniel Farke’s side. It was the 19-year-old’s first start under the Portuguese manager and he earned a 6.8 rating for his performance.
The England U’21 international has now made 19 appearances for the senior side at Spurs, having progressed through their academy. Considering he was trusted to play the full 120 minutes against Norwich City, with Mourinho describing his performance as “phenomenal“, perhaps the midfielder is set for a run of games in the first-team.
Should Skipp be starting more often?

These Spurs fans were quick to comment on how sad the midfielder looks, which is understandable after a crushing result.
What do we think?
Skipp looked genuinely upset in the post-match interview and perhaps the £7.2 million-rated man will be given another chance to impress Mourinho in upcoming games, hopefully with a better end result.
