Liverpool fans on Twitter have been debating whether or not Xherdan Shaqiri has a future at the club or not.
This comes after Liverpool news account @LivEchoLFC shared a post on their Twitter page asking their followers if the club should “cash in” on the winger.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who were quick to share their thoughts on Shaqiri and his future as a Reds player.
Would you sell of keep Xherdan Shaqiri this summer?
Sell him
Keep him
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans responding to the post:
Shaqiri has played just 10 matches and 258 minutes of football this season. So, should Liverpool cash in?https://t.co/ODJpbBBaKY

People literally forget how clutch he was for us last season in Oct-January. Crucial at Barca & Newcastle games last season too. This season clutch game vs Everton. I’ve had a calf tear it’s not nice.

Sometimes, I will be wondering, if he’s still a Liverpool player, or he has been transferred, without me knowing, but truth be told, he is one of the best players, in the Liverpool squad, so most times, I do wonder, why he’s been sideline, A gifted player to say the least.

I think he’s a good player, better than Minamino, but something isn’t right. Injuries and a potential issue with Klopp??

The Swiss international signed to the Merseyside club back in the 2018 summer transfer window from Stoke City. Since his arrival at Anfield, the 28-year-old has made 40 appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing five assists (per Transfermarkt). However, his time at Liverpool has been hit by numerous injuries which have impacted his playing time at the club. Now that the question has been asked of the Liverpool fans on whether or not they would keep or sell Shaqiri this summer, this sparked a big debate on Twitter.
I love all our players and would hate to see any of them leave.

He’s already said he will finish the season on a high and win the league then look for game time.

What do we think?
It appears that the majority of Liverpool fans like Shaqiri and hope to see him stay at the club for longer.
