A lot of Newcastle United fans have responded to a tweet from the Evening Chronicle reporting the Toon’s interest in Wylan Cyprien.
A report from the Chronicle (which was written by Lee Ryder) claims that Newcastle are monitoring the 25-year-old’s situation and he was on the club’s radar in January.
The report also claims that the Frenchman turned down Aston Villa in January and Everton are also looking at him.
It is also claimed that Steve Nickson and the rest of Newcastle’s scouting team are using the club’s video system to look for potential players to buy in the summer.
Do you believe this report?
Yes
No
However, this report has not gone down well with these Toon fans who don’t believe it.

One fan even suggested that the report was rubbish, which suggests they aren’t best pleased with the player in question.
This is why you get so much abuse for reporting rubbish ?????

Other Newcastle supporters don’t understand how Newcastle can be monitoring Cyprien with the Ligue 1 currently suspended.

What do we think?
Cyprien has made 24 appearances this season for Nice, and he has scored eight goals and provided five assists.
The 25-year-old also averages a 7.06 rating in the league and, judging by these stats, he could be a good signing for Newcastle ahead of next season – whenever that may be.
