Fans of Wolves have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which the club shares footage of their victory over Middlesbrough back in 2018.
In the fixture, goals from Helder Costa and Ivan Cavaleiro had given the table-toppers a two-goal lead at the break, before two second-half red cards for Ruben Neves and Matt Doherty saw Wolves clinging on through the final stages, eventually winning out 2-1 winners.
In reaction to the post, which was uploaded by the official Wolves account on Twitter, fans of the club flocked to share their memories of the fixture, with many claiming that the footage had cheered them up during these uncertain times, while others stated how they found the video to be emotional.

Great win given our past record up there. I don’t recall Cav scoring with his head other than this, were there others?

What do we think?
Although the Middlesbrough win back then saw Wolves climb six points clear at the top of the Championship table, the side have come on leaps and bounds since then.
Since that victory, Wolves have won the Championship, finished seventh in their first season back in the top flight, qualifying for the Europa League in the process, while this season they currently sit in sixth place and have made it to the Europa League round of 16.
As such, it is not difficult to see why Wolves fans are missing seeing their team in action, as over recent years, it will most likely have brought them a great amount of joy.
