A lot of Newcastle United fans are not happy with Craig Hope after he released a further piece on the Allan Saint-Maximin story from last week.
Should this whole situation be moved on from?
Yes
No
The Daily Mail reporter claimed that Saint-Maximin was benched against Burnley for tactical reasons, and he was fully fit.
Steve Bruce, though, disagreed with this and said that the Frenchman did not start because of fitness reasons. (17:35)
This then led to Bruce arguing with Hope after the Toon beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2 in the FA Cup.
Hope has now released a follow-up piece, and it has annoyed these Toon fans – who feel the Daily Mail reporter should just move on.
Allan Saint-Maximin confirms he was ‘not happy’ after being left out v Burnley last Sat. We can reveal player felt he was being portrayed as not being up for the fight after Steve Bruce said he was not fit enough to start & was then 'serious' doubt for WBA https://t.co/gSM9Hu12fE

Ridiculous. Move on man. Show me 1 professional footballer who wouldn’t be happy when left out of the starting 11.

What do we think?
The story focuses on an interview Saint-Maximin had with the Shields Gazette in which he said that no one would be happy to be on the bench.
However, he made no mention of any disagreement with Bruce and then he posted a picture of him with Bruce after the game.
So, we think that the best thing to do would be to move on from this whole situation.
