Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports that the club would not stop Riyad Mahrez leaving the club this summer, with French giants PSG rumoured to be interested in the 29-year-old.
Mahrez, who arrived at City from Leicester City in 2018, has been in fine form for the Citizens so far this season, providing 10 assists and scoring seven goals in 23 Premier League appearances, as well as a further four assists and one goal in his six Champions League fixtures.
The £54 million-rated right-winger has averaged an impressive WhoScored match rating of 7.59 throughout the league so far this term, in addition to an even more impressive 7.87 average in the Champions League.
Calciomercato has recently reported (via Daily Mail) that PSG would be interested in a summer move for Mahrez, as the French giants reportedly view the winger as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, while it is thought that Man City would not stand in the way of Mahrez’s departure.
In reaction to the reports, which were relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, fans of City flocked to reply, with many stating their belief that if Mahrez wants to leave, the club should let him.
Manchester City will not hinder a move for Riyad Mahrez’s to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Pep Guardiola will not keep any player who is not willing to stay, however, they will not see Mahrez leave for less than £80 million.

What do we think?
The situation surrounding Mahrez’s future with Manchester City is one that has the potential to reoccur with a number of City’s players this summer.
With the club facing a two-year ban from all European competition, players like Mahrez, who, at 29, is beginning to enter the final stages of his career, will have to decide whether or not they can accept not playing in Europe for two seasons.
