Fans of Manchester City have been reacting to a post on Twitter that relays a report by Mike McGrath, in which the Telegraph journalist claims that Leroy Sane may consider staying at Manchester City beyond this season.
Sane, who arrived at City from FC Schalke 04 in 2016, is reportedly close to returning to first-team football, following a six-month absence due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury the 24-year-old suffered at the beginning of the season.
At the time of Sane sustaining the injury, he was the subject of extreme transfer interest from German giants Bayern Munich, with Manchester City apparently resigned to losing the player, after their director of football, Txiki Begiristain, had been lining up potential replacements for the German forward.
However, according to Mike McGrath’s latest reports, the £90million-rated Sane is not ruling out the possibility of staying at Manchester City beyond the end of this season.
McGrath’s report was relayed by Man City Xtra on Twitter, and in reaction, City fans flocked to the replies, with many begging the forward to sign a new deal at the club, despite the lingering interest of Bayern Munich.
Leroy Sane will consider staying at Manchester City beyond this season, offering hope he could sign a new contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Sane is understood to be refusing to rule out remaining at City, with Bayern Munich yet to make clear their summer plans.

What do we think?
Sane is a brilliant talent and one that Pep Guardiola would undoubtedly prefer to retain at the club, as the German international has scored a remarkable 39 goals and provided 45 assists in his 134 appearances for Manchester City.
However, with the impending European ban looming over Manchester City’s next two seasons, it would seem likely that Sane, as well as other City stars, could be eyeing up potential suitors over the summer.
