Since the beginning of November, Crystal Palace have only managed to record five wins. It is hardly the record of a world-beating team.
However, the Palace hierarchy have decided to award Roy Hodgson with a one-year contract extension this week. While the manager has only managed five wins since November, two of those wins have come in their last two games.

When the club announced the extension on Twitter, fans were less pleased to hear that the 72-year-old will be with the South London club for another season at least.
They took to the post’s replies to air their grievances.

The extension of Hodgson’s contract could provide the club with some much-needed stability. The club has only managed to win back-to-back games on three occasions this season.
But, while there is an argument to be made for Hodgson bringing stability, these fans clearly feel that the manager is holding the club back. Hopefully, for Hodgson, he is able to prove his doubters wrong.
