Former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler has been nominated for the Coach of the Month award having navigated his Brisbane Roar side through February undefeated (via the A-League’s website). During last month, they defeated both Adelaide United and Western United FC before holding Perth Glory to a draw (via the club’s official website).
The 44-year-old quoted his club’s tweet with the caption ‘Doing something right, then’ and his side’s impressive form has prompted these Liverpool supporters to call for him to take up a role at Anfield after Neil Critchley left his post with the Under-23s to take up the manager’s position at Blackpool.
Would you like to see Robbie Fowler manage Liverpool someday?

I would have loved for you to come back and be the coach for Liverpool’s under 23’s but it looks like you have a pretty good thing going here. Keep it up Robbie and if it all works out for the both of us, we will see God back at Anfield as the manager of Liverpool in a few years.

Time to snatch you off the beach and bring you home; that U23s position is perfect for you, the club & tomorrow’s LFC greats. New facilities, setting new records; new heights…you know you want to Robbie: it’s time to come home

What do we think?
Robbie Fowler took charge at Brisbane Roar in April last year and his side currently occupy the sixth position in the A-League. In 19 league games so far, his side has won seven, drawn five and lost seven picking up a total of 26 points along the way.
In our view, it’s still very early days in terms of Fowler’s managerial career but having scored 183 goals for the Anfield giants, you can see why he’s held in such high regard and why many would love to see him return someday.
