Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to respond to the latest comments from football pundit and commentator Alan Smith.

This comes after Liverpool fan Twitter account @AnfieldEdition shared a post on their page relaying comments made by Smith in his column for the Evening Standard on Liverpool’s potential title win.

Smith claimed that should the Reds be crowned Premier League champions, it would be a “massive anti-climax” before adding that the Liverpool players “deserve every plaudit going for a magnificent effort” this season.

Who were Liverpool scheduled to play this Monday?

Despite being ahead at the top of the Premier League table by a 25 point gap, Jurgen Klopp’s side have yet to be officially named as champions. Now with all football in England suspended until early April, it is now unclear as to where and when the Reds will be given the title. After Smith suggested that the title win for the Reds would be an anti-climax, this comment did not go down well with a lot of Liverpool fans who were quick to share their disagreements with Smith on Twitter.

What do we think?

It’s understandable why these Liverpool fans disagree with Smith calling their title win an anti-climax, they would just be happy to get a title no matter when or where as long as they get it.
