Liverpool have vowed to pay Anfield’s matchday casual workers for the postponed home games up until the end of April which will cost the club around £250,000 per match – that’s according to The Independent.
The Athletic’s James Pearce relayed the news via his Twitter account and some of the club’s loyal supporters have been discussing the subject on the social media platform. Here is how a sample of them have reacted.

What do we think?
Whilst these fans were proud of the way their club is treating their casual employees during such a difficult time, there were some who were surprised by the potential outlay. It was announced on Thursday that English football will remain suspended until 30 April at the earliest but that the season will be extended indefinitely meaning the Reds will not be denied the opportunity to pick up their first-ever Premier League title – some positive news in what will no doubt be a testing time for many.
