The Reds are currently 25 points ahead at the top of the Premier League table as they look to secure the title in the coming weeks. With a Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on the horizon for Jurgen Klopp’s side, the appointment of Atkinson as referee for the match has drained these Reds fans of any confidence they may have had for a victory against their close rivals.

What do we think?
Liverpool will undoubtedly want to beat Everton and move a step closer to the Premier League title, but to assume the game will be lost because of the referee is a tad dramatic. Whoever the referee is, they do not go out just to immediately dismantle anyone’s game. These Liverpool fans must think highly of themselves and the team if they think Atkinson has something against them.
