Some Leicester City fans have taken to Twitter to commend the club’s ex-manager Claude Puel for the signings that he made during his time as Leicester boss.
Puel joined Leicester City in October 2017, remaining Foxes boss until February 2019. The French manager earned an average of 1.33 points per game during his tenure as Leicester boss, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk, which is the lowest average number of points per game that has been achieved by any of the last seven managers to take charge of at least one game for the Foxes, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk.
While Leicester may not have been at their best on the pitch during Puel’s tenure as manager, some Foxes fans have recently taken to social media to share their view that the club’s dealings in the transfer market were positive under Puel. Read the posts from some Leicester fans who have recently praised Puel’s Leicester City signings in the tweets below.

With the exception of Diabate and Ghezzal good, just a pity he didn’t have a clue how to use them effectively!

Outside shout he would make a good director of football
— Gary Barwell (@barnstonworth) March 19, 2020
Always said he did a lot of good to take us forward and basically did all the dirty work, but he couldn’t get his ideas across. Was a great Director of Football for us rather than coach.

Abit like Pearson for the title winning season Puel has set the foundation for Rodgers

What do we think?
It may be understandable why some Foxes supporters have been praising Puel’s signings, considering how much of a significant role some of the players that Puel brought to the club have played for Leicester City this season.
Jonny Evans, Caglar Soyuncu, James Maddison, and Ricardo Pereira are all listed as signings that were brought to Leicester by Puel, according to Transfermarkt.co.uk. These four players have been some of Leicester’s most heavily featured players this season.
No Leicester City player has made a higher number of Premier League appearances than Evans has made this season, with the Northern Ireland international making a total of 29 Premier League appearances thus far in the 2019/20 campaign, according to WhoScored.com. Meanwhile, only Evans and Kasper Schmeichel have featured in a higher number of Premier League games for the Foxes than Soyuncu, Maddison, and Pereira this season, according to WhoScored.
It may be fair to say that Puel’s signings for Leicester City have made a significant contribution this season for a Leicester side who currently sit in third place in the Premier League table.
