Some Leicester City fans have been calling for 22-year-old James Justin to start at left-back in Saturday’s Premier League clash with Watford, having impressed some Foxes fans with his performance in Monday’s win over Aston Villa.
Justin played a full game as Leicester City earned a dominant 4-0 win over Aston Villa. The 22-year-old left-back gave a good account of himself in Monday’s game, completing one successful tackle, in addition to two successful dribbles and one key pass.
The 22-year-old, who is valued at £3.6 million (as per Transfermarkt), earned an overall rating of 7.4 according to WhoScored.com for his performance.
Justin’s impressive performance has led to some Foxes supporters calling for the 22-year-old to start Saturday’s Premier League clash with Watford instead of Ben Chilwell. James Justin (jj) I don’t want Ben chilwell in the squad

There’s no way Ben Chilwell should walk back straight into the team when fit again, the reason Harvey Barnes was man of the match was down to the performance of James Justin. A winger is only as good as what’s behind him in defence. #lcfc

James Justin simply has to start at left back on Saturday. #LCFC

What do we think?
It may be fair to say that Justin delivered a positive performance in this past Monday’s Premier League fixture. However, it may be a bit soon to call for the 22-year-old to start ahead of Chilwell.
Though he may not make the highest amount of goal contributions in the world, with just five Premier League goal contributions to his name in 23 appearances thus far in the 2019/20 Premier League season, you could argue that Chilwell has been one of the Foxes’ most creative players this season, making a total of 1.2 key passes per game on average in the Premier League this season, according to WhoScored.com.
Only Youri Tielemans and James Maddison have made more key passes per game for Leicester than Chilwell on average this term. Chilwell has also earned an average overall rating of 6.97 from WhoScored for his 23 Premier League appearances this season, making him Leicester’s sixth-highest rated player for the 2019/20 Premier League season.
While Justin’s recent Premier League performance was a positive one, it may be unfair to make him the first-choice left-back over Chilwell just yet.
