Supporters of Everton have aired their delight over the latest on the transfer rumour linking LOSC Lille’s Gabriel Magalhaes with the Toffees.

According to the Independent, talks between representatives from both clubs are taking place and the Ligue 1 outfit would be willing to accept £25-£30 million for the central defender (via The Gwladys Street), which had supporters delighted.

Yes please. Young, reasonable wages and not a lot of money considering today’s market. Koulibaly would have more quality but would cost a heck of a lot more in both aspects Transfer fee and salary. Gabriel would improve under The Don and could prove a shrewd investment.

As stated in the Independent’s report, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have also been previously known to have an interest in the 22-year-old Brazilian.

Over the duration of the season so far, Magalhaes has been his French side’s fourth-best performer in the league, with a solid 6.93/10 average rating (per WhoScored), leaving the Goodison Park faithful keen.
