Supporters of Everton have been reacting to a tweet from Joao Virginia following the 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
Following the clash with the Red Devils, Virginia posted to social media to air his delight over being included on the Toffees’ bench (per Joao Virginia), which had some fans airing their desire for Portuguese goalkeeper to start.
Great experience to be on the bench in the Premier League for the first time ? https://t.co/pJYqWGJsOV

Would you be considering starting Joao Virginia ahead of Jordan Pickford if you were Carlo Ancelotti?Yes, he deserves a chanceNo, not good enough yet |
The 20-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan with Reading in the Championship, however, only featured in two league games for the Royals (as per Transfermarkt).
Over those two games in England’s second division, the stopper conceded five goals (per Transfermarkt), however, supporters were marking the Portuguese youngster out as one for the future.
You should be playing next week with a bit of luck?

What do we think?
Over all of the games which the Portuguese ‘keeper has featured in so far this season, which is six outings, Virginia has conceded 12 and not kept a clean sheet (per Transfermarkt).
So, there is little to suggest with that record that the former Arsenal man will be of a good enough standard to play first-team football for the Toffees anytime soon.
