Fans of Everton have aired their love for some quotes from Leighton Baines that were relayed by the Toffees’ official Twitter account.
On Tuesday afternoon, an interview with the full-back was posted to Twitter in which Baines discussed the “fear of failure” which has been “a constant” but “not a negative thing” (as per Everton), which led supporters to praise the Englishman.

Would you like to see Leighton Baines given a one-year contract extension? No, he's past it nowYes, still a good asset |
Over the duration of his time with the Toffees, Baines has featured in 417 games for the Merseyside club, in which he has bagged a solid return of 39 goals and 67 assists (per Transfermarkt).
Having arrived at Goodison Park as a 22-year-old for a fee in the region of £6 million from Wigan Athletic in 2007 (per BBC), supporters have grown infatuated with the defender over the following 13-year period.

What do we think?
As can be gathered from the many responses from Everton fans, they would like to see the 35-year-old defender be awarded a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season (per Transfermarkt).
Having been the Toffees’ sixth-best performer in the Premier League this term, too, with a 6.78/10 average rating (per WhoScored), it is clear that the left-back still has usefulness.
