Fans of Everton have fumed with VAR footage that emerged on social media following the 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United.
During the clash with the Red Devils, the Toffees had what appeared to be a late winner chalked off by the video assistant referee (per BBC) and after footage emerged of it on social media, fans fumed. [Footage originally posted by Sky Sports Premier League (via Everton News Feed)]
Absolute disgrace, De Gea has full view of the ball
Also is that not a penalty for that obvious foul on Sigurdsson

Honestly I can’t be doing with refereeing like that at the top of the premier league, you get better refs on a 7 aside

Was the correct decision made by the video assistant referee? No, absolutely notYes, he was offside |
The point for both sides has left the Toffees in 11th position in the Premier League table trailing United, who are in fifth, by five points (as per BBC).
However, while some supporters were furious that the goal had been chalked off for offside, on a second viewing, many were furious that Gylfi Sigurdsson had not been awarded a penalty in the first place.
Didn’t actually notice the penalty shout that is also a clear penalty

If sigurdson is interfering with play is it not a penalty as he was sent flying by United players following his shot ?

What do we think?
If there is one thing that is clear from the VAR call, it is that Everton fans remain furious that it has cost their side an extra two points in the Premier League.
However, those aside from the Goodison Park faithful are split over the decision (as per inews), meaning that the correct call is probably a very subjective one.
