Aston Villa fans have been going wild on Twitter over recently posted footage of the club’s 2-1 win over West Bromwich Albion back in 2015.
This comes after the official Villa Twitter account shared a post on their page that contained footage originally published by @premierleague of the victory that saw Christian Benteke seal all three points for Tim Sherwood’s Villa side with a 94th-minute penalty.
Who was the better Villa player?
Gabriel Agbonlahor
Christian Benteke
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Villa fans who were delighted to relive this match all over again.

The match saw Villa take the lead through former striker Gabriel Agbonlahor before the score was levelled after Saido Berahino put the Baggies back on level terms. As the clock ran down, Villa were awarded a very late penalty in stoppage time that Benteke put away calmly to secure the three points for the home side (per BBC Sport). As it was announced of the five-year anniversary of this match, many Villa fans were eager to reflect on the game with fond memories.

What do we think?
The Villa fans are always going to appreciate seeing their team beat their local rivals once again. The replies to this post goes to show just how fondly-remembered this victory was for the fans. Should Villa avoid relegation this season and West Brom gain promotion from the Championship at the end of this campaign, the two Midlands teams could well face off against each other again next year in the Premier League.
