West Bromwich Albion fans have been discussing on-loan man Oliver Burke on Twitter.
This comes after West Brom fan Twitter account @WBAReport shared a post on their page asking their followers if Slaven Bilic would use the winger at the club after listing his current playing statistics from this year.
This post then gathered a number of replies from Baggies fans who were not impressed with the 22-year-old’s progress this season.
Is Oliver Burke good enough to play for West Brom?
Yes
No
Here’s a sample of West Brom fans reacting to the post:

Loan Watch: Oliver Burke.
?Currently on loan at Deportivo Alaves (15th).
?Often utilised as a RWB, rather than a RW.
?Important to Alaves manager Asier Garitano, who sees him as a reliable option.
?17 appearances, 0 goals, 1 assist.Would Bili? use him? ? pic.twitter.com/MQ6AoeElQG

Whenever I saw him play for Albion he wasn’t good enough. Probably a very good league one player. Certainly won’t ever be prem quality and may develop into a good championship player for someone. Didn’t seem to have the desire to match his ambition

No chance – he is a waster – if we could sell, we should do so in my view

Biggest waste of money we have ever paid and likely ever will

The Scottish international joined Spanish side Deportivo Alaves on a season-long loan deal in the previous summer transfer window (per Transfermarkt). In 21 appearances for the La Liga side in all competitions, Burke has only managed to pick up one assist and is yet to score a goal (per Transfermarkt). This latest post on Burke’s progress at the club has not filled any Baggies fans with any hope that he will become a success at their club in the future.
No, this has been one of the saddest downturns of a young player with a promising future since Berahino. Massively different circumstances but another case of what could’ve been. ?

I think the price tag has always put too much pressure on his time at the Albion. It’s been too much for him to live up to. Best option for all parties is to sell in the summer. Can’t see us getting more than £3-4mil though.

Let’s hope they buy him then

What do we think?
It’s a shame that Burke’s loan in Spain hasn’t really taken off for the 22-year-old. At the end of the season when Burke returns to Birmingham, a decision will be made regarding his future, whether he will stay at the club, go out on loan again, or just be sold completely. Based on his record so far this season and the reaction from these West Brom fans, his future isn’t looking that bright.
