Robson-Kanu’s eighth and ninth Championship goals of the 2019/20 season have now made the current season his most prolific in professional football. Prior to this season, the 30-year-old’s highest-scoring season came in Reading’s 2012/13 Premier League campaign, in which he scored seven goals.
The attacker had already equalled that previous season-high tally back in January when he scored his seventh goal of the 2019/20 season versus Charlton Athletic. Now, the Welshman has broken his previous season-high goals record, entering into previously uncharted territory with his impressive performance versus Bristol City.
As he has set a new season-high goals record, it may be fair to say that Robson-Kanu is in the form of his career at the moment. Prior to this season, the 30-year-old had previously scored just nine league goals over the course of his three seasons with West Brom. He has now doubled his West Brom league goals tally in just this season alone.
