Fans of Swansea City have been reacting to a post by Wanye Routledge on Twitter, in which the 35-year-old reminisces about the 2012/13 squad who won the League Cup.
Routledge, who joined Swansea from Newcastle in 2011, has played 277 matches for the Swans, scoring 30 goals and providing 39 assists in his time at the club.
This season, the 35-year-old winger has appeared 17 times in all competitions, scoring three goals and providing three assists.
In a recent post on Twitter, Routledge shared a picture of the Swansea City team celebrating a goal during their 5-0 League Cup final victory over Bradford City, stating: “They say time flies… When you’re having fun!”
That Swansea side of 2012/13 included the likes of Michel Vorm, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Jonathan de Guzmán, Pablo Hernández and Danny Graham, and in reply to Routledge’s post, many Swansea fans have been recounting days gone by.

It almost makes me shed tears looking at that team and thinking will we ever better it or get to those heights ever again! It truly was amazing witnessing those years, speed and creativity in abundance and always going into a game thinking we’ve got a chance here! Great days

What do we think?
Although Swansea are having a decent season in the Championship this year, with the team currently sitting in ninth, five points from the play-offs, they still have a long way to go to reach the heights of the 2012/13 side.
Not only did the side win the League Cup that year, but they also finished ninth in the Premier League, something that Swansea fans could not imagine in their wildest dreams in 2020.
