Fans of Stoke City have been reacting to Jack Butland’s post on Twitter, in which the 26-year-old reflects on Stoke’s 0-0 draw with Blackburn.
Butland, who arrived at Stoke from Birmingham City in 2013, has made 28 Championship appearances this season, conceding 43 goals and keeping eight clean sheets, with the former England goalkeeper averaging a less than impressive 6.23 WhoScored match rating this term.
However, in his last two outings, he appears to have refound some form, earning 7.17 and 7.63 match ratings respectively.
The latter came on Wednesday evening, in which the £7.2 million-rated Butland and Stoke held an in-form Blackburn to a goalless draw at Ewood Park.
Following the match, Butland posted on Twitter: “Had to grind that point out. Happy with another shutout! Big game Saturday.”
In reaction to his comments, Stoke fans took to social media, with some unhappy that their goalkeeper was content with a point, while others simply praised their shot-stopper for his efforts throughout the match.

If we survive this season we need to take a good hard look at ourselves Jack. We should not be patting ourselves on the back for drawing games like this. We should be asking why we didn’t win !

Certainly did Jack . Nail biting at times but very much a point gained . The solidarity and commitment from you all is evident , with that feeding through to fans ( the vast majority anyway !)

What do we think?
Stoke are by no means safe as yet, despite picking up four points from their last two games.
The recent remarkable form of Wigan, Barnsley and Luton, who currently occupy the three relegation places, means that the Potters are just one point from the drop zone with 11 games to go.
