Sheffield Wednesday were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Barnsley in the South Yorkshire derby on Saturday. Cauley Woodrow cancelled out Josh Windass’ opener after 16 minutes, meaning Garry Monk’s side missed the opportunity to close the gap between themselves and the play-off positions.
The Owls have managed just one win in their last six Championship fixtures and the fans haven’t been afraid to make their feelings known regarding the team’s recent performances, with some pointing the finger at the manager.
Do you want to see Garry Monk sacked?
Yes
No
Monk is the problem well one of many

Monk might be the problem but we said the same about all the other 5 managers we’ve had, and funnily enough all the other managers played with roughly the same team we’ve got now, so I think we’ve worked out what the main problem is

What do we think?
Although the mood amongst these supporters seems extremely downbeat, qualification for the play-offs is still mathematically a possibility. Granted, there will need to be a huge improvement if they are going to make one of those spots their own, but it’s not all doom and gloom just yet.
Sheffield Wednesday take on Luton Town, Reading, Birmingham City and Charlton Athletic in their next four fixtures – all of whom currently sit below them in the Championship table. Therefore, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility they could put a run together and fight their way back into contention for a top-six finish.
