Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to criticise recent comments made by Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva.
This comes after a Liverpool fan’s Twitter account @empireofthekop shared a post on their page calling the City man “bitter” after comments made in an interview with Sky Sports via Goal.
An article on page’s website picked up on Silva’s comments who claim he called Liverpool lucky, but really he said that City have not been lucky in some moments this season.
Have Liverpool been lucky this season?
Yes
No
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Liverpool fans who decided to go on the offensive and criticise Silva’s words.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans slating Silva:
Whatever. Don’t expect City to be honourable anyways

Wow! @ManCity are really pushing hard for another title this season. They might just displace @Everton as the new ‘bitters’! #YNWA #22points #MindTheGap

This club and its players are obsessed with us
Their manager is always talking about us
Their players are always talking about usYou’ve got to commend Klopp for having our players grounded and focused only on us

The Premier League champion was a crucial figure in City’s quadruple winning season last year, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions (per Transfermarkt). But now that City are currently 22 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table, his latest interview has caught the attention of several Reds fans.
Hahahahaha I’ve never seen any of our lads this bitter after everything that’s gone against us the past few years, Bunch of entitled brats them lot.

They’re actually so spoiled. Love our squad, no matter what happens we just get on with it and win it the following year ?

We have it easy? The man himself says they play as good as any other seasons where they dominated the league. And still we are miles above them. He is confused but that’s understandable given their situation.

He just sounds pathetic, along with the rest of the haters. It makes the position we’re in that little bit sweeter though!

What do we think?
It seems that these Liverpool fans immediately chose to criticise Silva before reading his actual quotes in the interview. Instead of accusing Liverpool of being lucky, he was describing how disappointing City have been in the Premier League this season.
