Celtic’s Europa League opponents Copenhagen have been handed a boost ahead of their game on Thursday night as some of the Danish side’s key players could be fit.

Copenhagen boss Stale Solbakken recently provided an update about the fitness of many players ahead of their meeting with the Hoops on Thursday. He told the Daily Record that Ragnar Sigurdsson and first-leg goalscorer Dame N’Doye are back fit to play.

The Daily Record also goes onto state that Victor Nelsson is also back in contention for selection, having faced a fitness issue over the weekend.

Set for a tough game

The first leg saw the Hoops held to a 1-1 draw by Copenhagen, as Odsonne Edouard grabbed a vital away goal for Neil Lennon’s men, while it was the returning N’Doye who got the goal for the Danish outfit.

Celtic registered seven shots on target, while Copenhagen could get only two on target. Fraser Forster had saved a penalty in the second half to play a role in keeping the scoreline level.

TIF Tactics

The stats from the previous game show that while Celtic did have more chances to score, Copenhagen could have easily won the game. That is a reflection of how close the game was and if the Hoops aren’t at their best, they could easily slip up against Copenhagen on Thursday.
