This week, Rangers fans remembered the great David Cooper. On the week of his birthday, Rangers FC tweeted out in celebration of the player.
In their post, the Gers shared footage of Cooper scoring an absolutely sensational goal against Celtic. In the footage, Cooper dinks the ball over the heads of three Celtic players before poking the ball past the goalkeeper.
After the footage was shared, many fans reminisced about the player. They claimed he was their favourite Ger of all time and is classified as a true Rangers legend.

DC thank you for the memories. I was able to watch most of the games you played for our beloved Glasgow Rangers. A rare world class talent. RIP

Who has the best left-foot at Rangers right now?
Borna Barisic
Ianis Hagi
One fan admitted that while Cooper was useless with his right foot and his head, he was lethal with his left. They said his left-footed ability more than made up for his other weaknesses.
My absolute hero. Had no right foot, couldn’t head a ball, average pace couldn’t tackle and wouldn’t track back but what he could do with his left foot other players could only dream of. RIP Davie

What do we think?
The supporters clearly have many fond memories of Cooper playing for their side. Hopefully, the current crop of players can find inspiration in Cooper’s memory and fight to become club icons themselves.
