Rangers’ comeback against Braga was noticed by pundits outside of Scotland last night, with Gary Lineker praising Steven Gerrard’s comeback in the UEFA Europa League.
The Match of the Day presenter’s tweet garnered many responses, mainly from Rangers fans. They praised him for acknowledging their side.
English football has a much larger global exposure than its Scottish counterpart, making it difficult for teams like Rangers and Celtic to compete financially with their neighbours south of the border.
Here are a few of the responses from Rangers fans.
Good guy Gary

What would be a better Rangers themed crisp?
Hagi Salted
Worcester Staunch
Some of the Gers fans felt like they had to reciprocate the compliment. They told Lineker that they loved his crisps. The ex-England striker is well known for his lucrative advertising deal with Walkers.

What do we think?
While the win itself was likely enough to raise the spirits for Rangers fans, the acknowledgement from a foreign pundit has gone down a treat. If Rangers continue to progress deep into this competition, they will surely turn a few more heads from around the world.
