Liverpool fans on Twitter have been laughing at footage of former Red Ryan Babel.
This comes after Liverpool fan account @ScouserChrisLFC shared a post on their Twitter page that included footage originally posted by @RomeoDiMarzio of Babel mocking an injured opponent in Ajax’s 2-0 defeat to Getafe in the Europa League.
Was Babel right to make fun of the Getafe player?
Yes, he was faking the injury
No, he was bang out of order
This post then gathered many replies from Liverpool fans who saw the funny side in Babel’s antics during the defeat.
Here’s a sample of Liverpool fans replying to the post:

The footage showed the 33-year-old sarcastically mimicking a Getafe player after he went down to the ground with an apparent injury. Babel then continued to roll around on the floor to insinuate the opponent was faking the injury. After this footage started to make its way around Twitter, it caught the attention of a lot of Liverpool fans who were loving what they saw from their former man.

What do we think?
It isn’t the nicest move in the world to mock an opponent who is claiming to be hurt. But these Liverpool fans certainly saw the funny side of Babel’s antics. Maybe if the shoe was on the other foot and an opposing player made fun of an injured Liverpool player, the fans wouldn’t be laughing.
