Rangers were back to their clinical selves on the weekend as they managed to put four goals past Hamilton in the Scottish Cup. Scott Arfield opened the scoring after tapping in his saved penalty, however, Hamilton’s Lewis Smith equalised in the 38th minute.
Luckily for the Gers, Joe Aribo was on hand to put the visitors back in front, before Alfredo Morelos and Arfield scored Rangers’ third and fourth respectively. But when Rangers posted footage of Aribo bursting through the midfield against Hamilton, Rangers fans found this just as exciting. They believe he should be doing more of that kind of thing on a regular basis.

He needs to do more, instead of little flashes. We have unreal pace and ability up front, we shouldn’t have any fear.

He was on top form, keep it up @J_Aribo19

One fan even called Joe Aribo the new Dave Smith. The left-sided midfielder enjoyed an eight year spell at Ibrox, helping the Gers lift the Cup Winners Cup the Nou Camp in 1972. He was also inducted into the club’s prestigious Hall of Fame in 2007, so to be compared to the Rangers legend is a big thing.
The new Dave Smith ..

That’s what we need from @J_Aribo19 that drive is what we’ve been missing from our midfield. It commits defenders drawing them out to free our players… keep it up Jo

What position do you prefer Aribo in?
Right-wing
Midfield
They think that when he is on his best form, he can make most matches look easy.
When the big man is on his game, most matches are a stroll for him keep it up chief

What do we think?
Hopefully, for Steven Gerrard and his side, Aribo is able to put in a few more great shifts before the end of the season. If he is consistent, it could be a huge boost to the Glaswegian side as they search for the league title.
