It was Old Firm day for the Rangers Colts as they took on their rivals. The match ended in a 1-1 draw after Ciaran Dickson scored a late equaliser in the 85th minute. The 17-year-old’s shot took a deflection, finding its way into the back of the opposition’s net to earn the young team a point.
After the goal was scored, many Rangers fans praised Dickson. They were ecstatic with the individual goal, but recognise that the player could be close to earning a first-team call-up soon. It is probably much too early to tell whether Dickson has a serious future at Ibrox. His young age means there is plenty of time before he reaches his full potential. If he can keep on pace with his current development, however, he could become a big player for Steven Gerrard in the future. One thing is for sure, though – if he can continue scoring against Celtic, the fans will always be on his side.
