Sheffield United managed to walk away from their match against Crystal Palace with all three points on the weekend. Palace didn’t make life easy for the Blades, however, with the game’s lone goal coming after the Eagles’ goalkeeper Vicente Guaita dropped the ball into his own goal from a corner.

There will be some Palace fans who will feel slightly aggrieved that Sheffield United didn’t finish the game with 10 men, however. This became evident when Chris Wilder was asked about George Baldock and whether he thought the player could have been sent off during the game. The player received a yellow card early in the match and was treading on thin ice marking Wilfried Zaha. But Wilder insisted that he thought Baldock did brilliantly well to deal with the winger and that he didn’t think the player did anything to warrant a sending off.

Sheffield United’s Twitter account poked fun at the speculation of Baldock walking the tightrope with a cheeky tweet about the player bullying Palace players down the right side of the field. The fans thought the tweet was incredible. They loved the banter from their team’s admin.

What do we think?

Perhaps Baldock can feel slightly fortunate that he managed to stay on the park for a full 90 minutes. The player committed three fouls during the match, according to WhoScored. Luckily for the Blades though, he escaped a heightened punishment and won’t have to serve out a serious suspension.
