Rangers fans will be thrilled by the recent result against Braga, with Steven Gerrard’s side completing a brilliant comeback against the Portuguese side. Despite being down by two, the Gers scored three second-half goals to win the match.
Winning in such an exciting manner was surely a huge moment for the players. It is hard to imagine anyone raining on their parade. Well, unless your name is Chris Sutton.
After the match, Sutton tweeted out to Rangers fans, in a way that appeared to mock them for celebrating the win so emphatically.
Gers fans were livid with Sutton’s instinctive dismissal of Rangers’ achievement and slated him in the replies.

2-0 down. Come back to win 3-2 against a quality side, and the fans and players are not supposedly to celebrate. Behave.

What a bitter man. We just won an amazing comeback and we have every right to celebrate or did your daughter steal your phone again? https://t.co/oZXTDlidXO

Do Rangers have a right to celebrate the comeback?
Yes - of course
No - stay focused
What do we think?
Sutton has since come out and ‘clarified’ his initial message, claiming that his praise was genuine. He blamed the misunderstanding on a typo.
Whether Rangers fans choose to believe this explanation or not is completely up to them. Regardless of what they think, we doubt there is any love lost between the two parties.
