Ianis Hagi. Remember the name. The Romanian magician held no punches during his first European outing for the Gers last night.
Hagi played a vital role in Steven Gerrard’s comeback, with the midfielder picking up his second and third Rangers goals in the second half of last night’s match.
The brace proved to be vital, considering Braga were, at one point, up by two goals. Hagi’s double, combined with Joe Aribo’s solo goal, secured a lead for Rangers heading into next week’s second leg.
It appears his brace has some Rangers fans drooling over him already.

Is signing Ianis Hagi in the summer a must?
Yes
No
Others demand that their club splash out the cash for him in the summer. At the moment Hagi is only on loan from Genk, however, there is an option to buy at the end of the contract.
Pay the 4million now. Already the best technical player in the country.

What do we think?
Hagi’s performance last night earned him an 8.8/10 rating from WhoScored. He registered an 81% pass success rate during the match as well. His performance was certainly worthy of praise, and these fans are right to demand the club make the deal permanent in the summer.
