It was a pretty grim day for Rangers fans yesterday as they dropped another two points in the league after drawing 2-2 with St. Johnstone. The Gers have now failed to win in four games since the start of 2020.
In contrast, Celtic are undefeated since the beginning of the new year, winning every league game they have played in.
These results have given Celtic a 12-point lead in the league, a considerable gap to overcome, even with Rangers having a game in hand.
However, while the day was gloomy overall, many Rangers supporters were thrilled with the performance of Florian Kamberi. The player scored Rangers’ first goal and assisted their second.
When Kamberi’s volley hit the back of the net for the first goal, these Rangers’ fans couldn’t believe it. They praised his strike, with one supporter claiming that he was the best striker on the team. Another compared him to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Our best striker

Because like it or not he is tactically inept. He defaults to the 433, how he has not seen that hagi should always play in the centre and that kamberi at the moment is playing better than morelos is blowing my mind. Kent needs a good few games on the bench to be honest as well

Unreal player.

Do Rangers need to sign Kamberi on a permanent deal in the summer?
Yes
No
One fan thinks that Kamberi, who is valued at £675k (as per Transfermarkt), is playing for a full-time contract. The player is currently on loan from Hibernian until the end of the season. Another supporter reckons the club should reward the player with a four-year deal.
Kamberi playing for a contract
Majority of them cruising with long term deals knowing no matter how bad they play they’ll be picked next week

What do we think?
With such an impressive performance, Steven Gerrard may be convinced to make Kamberi’s move to Glasgow permanent in the summer. For now, however, he will just hope the player can help restore some dignity to the team’s second half of the season.
