Earlier in the week, Rangers played Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership. George Edmundson was awarded an opportunity to take part in his fifth Scottish Premiership game of the season when he started the match. The 22-year-old seized the opportunity, even managing to score a goal in the dying embers of the first half.
Many fans were thrilled with the player’s overall performance. They enjoyed his distribution and, of course, his brilliant finish for the goal. When the centre-back posted on Twitter to celebrate the goal, fans took the opportunity to praise him.

But, while there were many fans who praised his technical skill, there were quite a few more who marvelled at his gargantuan size. Many supporters compared him to a fridge. One fan even suggests that he has the wingspan of a commercial aircraft, while another asks if he could bench press the Main Stand. There was one supporter who was hoping Edmundson would be available to help him move his furniture on the weekend.

What do we think?
Regardless of what Edmundson achieves in his career, he will always have his size. It is something that many central defenders in the world could only wish for. Hopefully, though, he continues to improve his technical abilities as well. If he can, the £630k-rated man (as per Transfermarkt) could emerge as one of the best young centre-backs in the league.
