After Rangers dropped three more points this week when the side lost to Kilmarnock in the league, the supporters were naturally frustrated. It leaves them 10 points behind their rivals. It is a considerable gap, even with their game in-hand.
But things were put into perspective after @OldRangersVideo posted the result statistics from the last three times the Gers won the league. When the side won in 2010/11, the team lost four games, in 2009/10 they lost once, and in 2008/09 the lost three times. The side has only lost three league matches so far this season.
The club’s point totals for those winning years were also brought up. In 2010/11 they had 59 points, in 2009/10 they had 58, and in 2008/09 they had 54. This season, they have already earned 60.
The statistics did make one fan feel slightly better about their season to date.

Can Rangers pull back the league title?
Yes
No
However, many fans pointed out that, despite having a good record, it means nothing. Celtic are currently flying, and the Gers haven’t been able to keep up.
Its character & depth in the squad that we are lacking

Good stat, but we are second and trailing by at least 7 points if we win our game in hand. That’s all we need to know.

No, he isn’t, also it was a level playing field then, none of our previous managers were up against a Celtic paying double our wages. Money talks the majority of the time.

True. It wouldn’t be so bad other than the fact Celtic are flying….

Other lot are so consistent and don’t look like dropping anything…

What do we think?
It is evident that, while the team is doing well, Celtic are just doing better. Hopefully, there is still time to overcome this. If Steven Gerrard can inspire a comeback in the league, it will certainly take a near-flawless run of results going forward.
