QPR fans have been reacting to a tweet discussing whether Liam Kelly is now the Hoops’ undisputed No.1 – and whether Joe Lumley has a future at the club.
Kelly, who signed for QPR from Livingston last July, has appeared 12 times in the league for the Hoops this season, conceding 21 goals and keeping two clean sheets.
Having appeared infrequently at the start of the campaign, the Scotsman has been between the sticks in each of QPR’s last six matches, during which time he earned both of his clean sheets, as well as making a crucial penalty save in their 1-0 victory over Leeds.
This appears to have made him Mark Warburton’s preferred choice in goal, with QPR academy graduate Joe Lumley now firmly on the bench, and fans have been discussing whether Lumley should be moved on in the summer or reinstated as the Hoops’ no.1.

On his day, Lumley is the better keeper. I’d say keep Lumley and have him fight for the #1 spot again

Lumley has no confidence anymore, so it has to be Kelly until the end of the season. Then we assess the situation in the summer.

I think Lumley’s confidence has gone. We have a lot of young keepers so will be interesting to see next season.

Of course he does and I couldn’t care less about Lumleys future as long as it ain’t me paying to watch him ????? #QPR

Kelly for me. Joe needs to go out on loan for a season i think. See how it goes

All day long. Sell Lumley in the summer

What do we think?
Comparing the stats between the two goalkeepers, they roughly come out the same. Kelly has conceded 21 in 12 appearances, with two clean sheets, whereas Lumley has conceded 37 in his 21 games, also with two clean sheets.
Whichever ‘keeper Mark Warburton eventually decides is his No.1, he will want to ensure that his side are much tighter defensively, as QPR have currently conceded the joint second-most goals in the league.
