Fans of QPR have been reacting on social media to comments made by Eberechi Eze in which the 21-year-old discusses the reasons behind his impressive performances this season.
Eze, who moved to QPR from Millwall’s U18 side in 2016, has been in outstanding form this year, scoring 11 goals and providing seven assists in his 35 Championship appearances.
In an interview with QPR’s official website, Eze discussed what he believed to be the reason for his impressive performances, stating: “Last season I probably may have looked at stuff too much and it can get into your head and then you’re not as focused as you should be. So I have been working this season on staying focused on my football.”
He continued: “That’s what has got me into this position this year and so I am going to continue to do that. I am not going to let outside things distract me. My family, those people that you speak to most, have been so important. They keep me grounded and keep me focused on the job that I have got to do.”
In reaction to his comments, fans of QPR flocked to Twitter, with many complimenting the winger on his performances, while others suggested he may be their most skilled player since Trevor Sinclair.

A bit sad that he has to block himself from certain things because of certain “fans” (the opposite of support btw). BUT… he’s a very strong minded individual I think. ??

Sign a new deal ebere and repay the only club that put faith into you at the time and help make you the player you are now. Too many players are too money driven and ruin themselves…. But hey ho thats the footballers of this era ?

What do we think?
The £4.5 million-rated Eze has been far and away QPR’s player of the season, earning a remarkable eight WhoScored Man of the Match awards, as well as topping the Hoops’ WhoScored average rating charts, with a score of 7.42.
