Fans of Nottingham Forest have been reacting on Twitter following their side’s crucial 1-0 away victory at Cardiff City on Tuesday night.
Forest, who headed into the match on a run of three games without a win, occupied fifth place in the Championship table before the fixture, six points behind second-placed Leeds and just three points above Bristol City in seventh.
Cardiff had made their stadium somewhat of a fortress this term, losing only once at home all year before Tuesday, meaning that Forest would have had to do what only Bristol City had managed so far this season and take all three points home from south Wales.
However, a second-half Tiago Silva strike was enough for Forest to do so, a result which means Forest leapfrog Brentford, who lost away at Luton, and Fulham (who play Swansea this evening) into third place in the table.
Following the match, Nottingham Forest fans flocked to Twitter with messages of congratulations and support for their side, with many stating they are truly beginning to believe that this team have what it takes to achieve promotion.

What do we think?
Some big results went Forest’s way on Tuesday night, as Brentford lost to Luton, while Bristol City also lost at Huddersfield.
Although both Leeds and Fulham play on Wednesday evening, Forest’s win puts a huge amount of pressure on the sides above them to perform.
If Leeds were to lose away at Middlesbrough, the Reds would be just three points behind United in second, while if Fulham fail to beat Swansea, Forest will come out of the midweek programme sitting no lower than third place.
