Leeds United picked up their third successive victory in the Championship at the Riverside on Wednesday night. Marcelo Bielsa’s side are now just four points behind league leaders West Bromwich Albion and took a step closer towards automatic promotion.
Mateusz Klich scored the only goal of the game right on the stroke of half time and that proved enough to seal all three points. The Whites inflicted more pain on their former player Jonathan Woodgate, whose side hover dangerously above the relegation zone.
Would you stick with Patrick Bamford up front for the rest of the season?
Yes
No
But despite the victory, some Leeds United fans have taken to social media to criticise their striker Patrick Bamford for his showing against his former club.
Bamford actually stops Shotton’s OG? pic.twitter.com/EvDULNVkka

4 goals in last 5 games. Bamford cant score for toffee. JKA still not fit and now injured. I’m worrying about another fall apart incoming

Where desperate for another striker, to me Bamford looks like he doesn’t want to score, if we keep playing Bamford our luck will run out, you can’t keep missing chances and hoping to win 1 nil

Only one player who’s gunna cost us promotion Patrick bamford harsh but true

Bamford is a disgrace man, I just want him gone and out of my club

I’m snuggling down in bed after not being at the game, but I follow Leeds home and away and can comfortably say that Bamford, in his primary role of Striker, is awful.

I know people keep saying JKA isn’t fit, but hes got to be able to do a better job than him.
Even tyler Robert’s. Think about this, mitrovic in this side, would we now be 2and 4 points behind WBA. No chance, wed be 15 / 18 points clear, bamford is no good.— Simon J Whittam (@simonwhittam35) February 26, 2020
Bamford was awesome tonight for Boro !

What do we think?
Patrick Bamford just can’t catch a break at the moment. The 26-year-old, who is valued at £5.4m by Transfermarkt, hasn’t scored since his brace during the victory over Millwall at Elland Road back in January. So far this season, he’s managed 12 league goals in 34 appearances, but judging by the replies, the fans want more and believe he’s had the chances to do better.
