Some Celtic fans have made it clear that they are not happy with the performance of their central defender Christopher Jullien.
Jullien was involved in the club’s recent 4-1 win over Hamilton in the Premiership. He was on the scoresheet too, as Odsonne Edouard got a brace and James Forrest also scored a goal. The Hoops’ defence saw Jullien start alongside regular partner Kristoffer Ajer, but young Stephen Welsh also made an appearance.
Can Jullien be the next Van Dijk?
No, that's asking a lot!
He surely can
But when Superscoreboard came up with a post about Jullien, many Celtic fans made it clear that the summer signing is prone to making defensive errors.
He should do better there and you could see his frustration with himself at the goal, made up for it by scoring and the three points is what counts.

He has too many errors in him for my liking, but he does score goals and has had some good games. If he can reduce his errors, he could be a Celtic great.

His defending is terrible to watch at times .. soon as he’s up against someone his own size he can’t defend.. still don’t think the back two are right for the time ..(jmoi)

Love the big guy but he needs to bulk up a bit.

Jullien has scored some key goals for the Hoops this season. He had scored the winner for the club in their League Cup final win over Rangers. The Frenchman’s second-half goal had handed Celtic their 19th League Cup crown in early December.
Jullien also scored in the club’s crucial 2-1 win over Lazio in the UEFA Europa League in Glasgow. That goal proved crucial in taking the club to the Round of 32 in the competition, where they will face Copenhagen.
What do we think?
26-year-old Jullien has had his moments at the other end of the pitch but it seems fans are concerned with his defending skills. However, there is every chance he improves over time, especially considering this is his first season in Scotland.
