Some Bristol City fans displayed their frustration on social media at manager Lee Johnson’s post-match comments regarding the team’s ‘identity’.
Some Robins supporters particularly took exception to Johnson’s comments stating that his team will need to “believe and execute” on the pitch in line with the team’s identity in order for them to break their current cycle of defeats. Tuesday evening’s 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town gave Bristol City their third consecutive Championship loss.
The 38-year-old manager made these post-match comments in an interview that was subsequently posted to Twitter by Bristol City’s official Twitter account. Some Robins supporters responded to this tweet blasting Johnson for his comments on the team’s ‘identity’, with many claiming that it is unclear what the team’s identity even is.

He keeps talking about “our identity”.WHAT IS OUR IDENTITY? I have absolutely no idea what sort of team we’re supposed to be, what style of football we’re supposed to play. At least a long ball team know exactly what they’re doing, we don’t seem to have a clue what the plan is

Identity ? been saying that for last 3 weeks , 3 losses and 1 goal. Sort it out. He’s the problem not the players !

I Wondered how long it would be before he mentioned his predictable “identity” garbage

What is our identity? Slow football with no pressing whatsoever, then when we get the ball aimlessly hoof it and repeat..

What do we think?
Bristol City’s recent run of results have been far from ideal. The Robins have earned just six points from their last six Championship games, which currently sits them in 19th place in the Championship’s ‘form table’ for the past six games.
Johnson’s side have also scored just six goals in that time period. Only five other Championship sides have scored fewer goals than the Robins in that time. Given their lack of success and lack of attacking threat recently resulting in some poor performances, it may be understandable why some Bristol City fans are growing tired of Johnson’s ‘identity’ comments.
