Supporters of West Ham United have reacted to the news that Reece Oxford may be set for a move to the fourth tier of German football.
According to Kicker, the former West Ham prodigy needs ‘practice in the Regional League’ and has not featured for FC Augsburg since a ‘fatal mistake’ against Schalke 04 in early November, which fans thought served him right.
Reece Oxford is facing the prospect of plunging into Germany’s FOURTH tier on loan after failing to make the grade at Augsburg.

Would you take Reece Oxford back at West Ham?No, he's not good enough and bad attitudeYes, he was decent for us and he could improve |
The 21-year-old Englishman left the London Stadium for the Bundesliga over the summer for an undisclosed fee after spending time on loan with the German club (as per West Ham).
Over this season, though, the youngster has picked up a weak average rating of just 6.04/10 after eight appearances in the Bundesliga, six of which were as a substitute (per WhoScored).
This is sad. What a career he could have had.

Waste of talent good decision to bin him

Look at him vs Declan Rice – could’ve & should’ve been so different for him

What do we think?
While some fans seem to be taking a little joy in the fact that his career seems to have come off the rails a little since leaving the Hammers, it is a shame to see good talent go to waste.
If the defensive-minded player does make a drop to Germany’s fourth tier, hopefully, he can continue to kick on there and show the talent that he has on a consistent basis.
